and lie to me  and make me  make me think you want to hold my hand  want to kiss my face  lead me through the maze again  and maybe if we do enough times it'll turn out  looking alright  and i won't feel so bad and with all this positive thinking  
my heart will pump strong.   
it's taking an awful lot to not take up these scissors and cut my heart out here and now.  another minute and it may be too much.

nightmare isn't a verbmy nightmare is not the boogie man, is not the monster under my bed or in my closet, no.   
i nightmare about a world where i will never draw a perfect circle and nobody will ever understand what i am saying and the birds won't sing at your funeral.   
and oh, i don't have enough pages left in this tattered, decaying notebook to show you what my mind is like when i wake up, pale faced and sweaty handed and tense, in the middle of the night. and i imagine scenarios of murder and burglary and rape and corpses lying dead on operating tables.   
then the next day, i move like normal because the orange moon has traded nightmare isn't a verb

sea scapewe tried to put together a puzzle of a sea scape and you held two matching pieces in your hands and you didn't put them together and you didn't even try.   
i stared at the fan after you left and thought about how you were going to figure out us when you couldn't figure out a puzzle and how, if someone was tall enough to put their head right next to the fan blades, they wouldn't die.   
i built sandcastles in shallow sea water because i wondered what would happen if the castle crumbled away before the princess was saved.   
i emptied the salt shaker into trash can and filled it with salt water instead.  i th sea scape

just wanted to play with the temperory free journal skinsss. :)


and while i'm at it, what my weekends been like so far in the form of book, etc suggestions:

WICKED. the book. stop reading this right now and go get it. i already loved the musical (though i've only seen half of it) and really got into reading the book today and it's really good. much different from the musical, but it's goooood. :)

THIRTEENTH NIGHT. by alan gordon. well, i figured if i'm gonna plug wicked and i'm reading & loving this nearly as much at the same time... this should go up here too :) it's the twist-on-shakespeare type and it's very good. if anybody's read twelfth night, it picks up after than in a mystery about the death of duke orsino. (and if you like shakespeare twists, try ophelia by lisa klein too)

FLEA IN HER EAR. hehehe. my school did this as their fall production. it was hilarious. it's set in 1900s-ish france and pretty much is about how each of the characters thinks their husband/wife is cheating on them and no one really is. there's a character who can only say vowels, two identical ones with entirely different personalities and predictably, a loot of sexual innuendo.

CHORES. to be postponed while you read/watch the above. :)

HOMEWORK. see "chores".
